These terms govern your use of shoitotokyo.com and any purchase you make from SHŌ ITO. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who we are. SHŌ ITO is a brand operated by CASCADE ALLIANCE sp. z o.o., registered in Poland. Our registered office is in Warsaw. You can reach us at info@shoitotokyo.com.
What this site is for. This site exists for one purpose: to sell SHŌ ITO fragrances directly to customers on the open web. We do not sell through retailers, distributors, or marketplaces.
Buying from us. By placing an order, you agree to pay the price shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes and shipping. Within the European Union, prices include VAT; for destinations outside the EU, prices are exclusive of customs duties and import taxes, which are paid by the recipient on delivery. We reserve the right to limit quantities or cancel orders that appear automated or made in bad faith.
Releases and the list. Joining the list is free. Membership of the list does not guarantee the ability to purchase. Releases are made in limited quantities and on a first-come basis among invited members. When you receive an invitation by email, it includes a private purchase link valid for that release. Purchases happen only through that link.
Returns and refunds. See our returns page for the practical procedure. Your statutory rights under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU are not affected by anything written here. For hygiene reasons, fragrances cannot be returned once their factory seal is broken (Article 16(e) of the same directive).
Intellectual property. The text, images, names, and design on this site belong to SHŌ ITO, except where noted. Please do not reproduce without written permission.
Liability. We are responsible for what we sell. We are not responsible for misuse, allergic reactions where the published allergen list was followed, or third-party links.
Packaging and recycling (France). Our unique producer identifier for household packaging and graphic paper extended producer responsibility in France is FR525750_01SNGI.
Changes. We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent update.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Disputes go to the courts of Warsaw, unless local consumer law gives you another forum.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by anything written here.

What we collect, and why.
- Contact details — your name, address, billing and shipping address, phone, email.
- Account information — username, password, preferences and settings.
- Transaction information — items you view, add to cart, purchase, return, exchange, or cancel.
- Financial information — payment card and payment account details, processed by our payment partners.
- Communications with us — the content of any message you send us.
- Device and usage information — IP address, browser, device, and how you interact with the site.
How we use your information. To provide, tailor, and improve the service: process your payments, fulfil your orders, manage your account, arrange shipping, handle returns, and recommend products you may like. To communicate with you: send invitations to releases, account and order notifications, and to respond when you write to us. For security and fraud prevention: authenticate your account, secure your payments, detect and investigate suspicious activity. For legal reasons: comply with applicable law and respond to valid legal process.
Who we share it with. Service providers and partners who help us run the store, including Shopify (hosting and payments), Klaviyo (email), our shipping carriers, and our accountant in Poland. We may also disclose information when you direct us to (for shipping or social login), within our corporate group, or to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers. Some of our processors are located outside the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to keep your data protected.
Retention. We keep your information for as long as you are on our list, as long as needed to provide the service, or as required by tax and accounting law in Poland (typically 5 years from the end of the relevant tax year for invoices), whichever is longer.
Your rights under GDPR. If you reside in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to info@shoitotokyo.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may complain to the Polish Data Protection Authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych — UODO) or your local supervisory authority at any time.
Children's data. The site is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
Security. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No measures are perfect; please do not send sensitive information over unsecured channels.

Shipping is included in the purchase price. Each order is hand-prepared and dispatched within three business days.
Where we ship from. All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Łomianki, Poland (a suburb of Warsaw).
Where we ship to. Across the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and selected other markets. If your country does not appear at checkout, please write to us.
Customs and import taxes. Orders to destinations outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties and clearance fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the order total.

Every order includes a sample of the main fragrance. We ask that you wear the sample first, and only break the seal of the main bottle once you are sure it is the right scent for you.
If, after trying the sample, you decide the fragrance is not right, you may return the main bottle for a full refund — provided the bottle is unopened, with its factory seal intact.
Return requests must be submitted within 14 days of receiving your order, in line with EU Directive 2011/83/EU. Once the main bottle's seal is broken, the fragrance cannot be returned, in accordance with Article 16(e) of the same directive (hygiene exception for sealed cosmetics).
